A quick stop in Portland…
And off to this full week in Seattle!! Spent the last 4 days in the Portland area visiting some cool accounts (have you BEEN to Next Adventure?!), having a killer demo at the Portland Rock Gym and spending time with old friends.
Portland’s interesting in that it reminds me of a very large town, not a city. Everyone was super friendly and the scene is really upbeat despite the rain.
After all the demo’s and clinics are done what is really great about being on the road in a city is being able to really enjoy what it has to offer. I especially enjoyed the abundance of cool street art that was throughout all of Portland.
The cycling is a HUGE scene!!
But the friends and family are still there =) Here’s a great pic of the Ristau family (Kenny, Leola and Lincoln wearing the helmet) that i stayed with. Kenny is the manager at the Portland Rock Gym and knew me from back in the day when he managed the gym in Costa Mesa CA back when I competed.
We had a lovely Easter brunch that Andrew (pic below) so graciously hosted
And did I mention how good the food was….
Haha! Just kidding Drew! It was great ;)
