evolv Climbing

This past Monday and Tuesday was the first (of many for sure) evolv Dealer Camp for Southern California evolv retailers and it was a BLAST! Joining evolv was Mike Duncan from Black Diamond,Tim Richards with  Sterling Ropes and Ice Breaker. Guiding for us was the unbeatable Matt Wallker with his awesome guiding service Inner Passage. And let’s not forget the woman who won the “most important element at the event EVER” award…Paula RIchards for  HOOKING it up on the food! Seriously the menu was ridiculous! check out this breakfast of huevos rancheros.

Dinner’s were amazing too. Here’s Jules and Mike from Mammoth Mountaineering being to busy enjoying the tri-tip and chicken taco’s to notice me. And that’s Jay Peery cleverly using a bottle of Jameson to hide behind.

So the food and company was amazing but the real reason everyone drove down was to learn about our product and be able to climb in it! And climb we did. We had 2 solid days in Echo Cove and Cap rock with top ropes, mock lead climbs, crack/gear placement clinics and a bouldering tour.There’s really nothing better than being able to test out the gear that you’ve always wanted to try and get direct feedback/questions answered from the reps.

Always imperative to get the support and “thumbs up” from your guide!

And at the end of a long day is there anything better than a roaring campfire, your friends, some brew and accopella Kareoke? I think not!! =)
